How to access your personal homepage:

Under ‘Personal’ menu, click on the ‘Homepage’ icon. Under this menu bar, you will find the left hand Personal Home Page menu bar and the right hand Content Management page.

The left hand Personal Homepage menu bar consists of System Content, System Information and Personal Web Folder.

Here is where you will be able to create your own website. You have a choice between using the Content Management System (CMS), or hosting your own HTML pages/images etc. on the personal web folder.

The CMS is your own WYSIWYG editor that will allow you to quickly create and modify webpages in a word processor like editor, with minimal fuss. You can also change the look of the website using the available templates, or modify existing (Editable) templates to create your own unique themes.

Alternatively, you can code your own pages and upload them to your personal web folder, to give yourself added flexibility.

All your pages will be hosted on the PeaceZone (http://peacezone.net/yourpage). If you would like your own URL, and the added flexibility of a more elaborate CRM, and other benefits, consider purchasing our PeaceZone PRO package (http://www.peacezone.net/?pr_content=4).

Creating homepage by using the templates.

  1. This is the default of the system. Once you click on the “Homepage” icon, you will be given the “Content Management” page of the available templates.
    • About My Self
    • My Familiy
    • My Friends
    • My Hobbies
    • My Activities
    • Biodata
    • My Links
You may edit the topic for these contents and you may enter all of the required information in the field provided. Images that you want to insert into the web page contents will be obtained from your personal web folder or from community web folder provided by the System Administrator.
  2. Choosing the Themes

Click on the “Themes Manager” link on the left hand navigation menu bar. You will see various themes available in the system. You may choose either to use system theme or user theme. You may also choose whether to have single or multiple page layout for your homepage.
  3. Preview Homepage

You may preview the appearance of the homepage by clicking on “Preview Homepage” button on the left of this menu bar.

This is the simplest way to create your webpages. No knowledge of HTML is required. However to fully take advantage of the themes you will need to understand how Cascading Style Sheets work. If you need any assistance with this, don't hesitate to email me at (admin@peacezone.net)

Create homepage by using your own personal files?

You may create your homepage by using the HTML editor and upload these files to the folder in this system. Besides that, you may also create or edit the files directly in this system.

Click “Manage Web Folder”.

You will see there are six folders already available in the system. These are:

  • @personal_theme
  • @system_theme
  • File
  • Image
  • Media
  • www

Any file named index.html or index.php in the “www” folder will be the main page (index page)of your homepage.

You may keep all other files in these folders accordingly.

By default, the file that is already available in the “www” folder is file index.php. You may edit this file directly or you may overwrite this file with your new file. To create new file, you need to click on the “Create New“ icon at the top of the page.

To edit the already available file, click the selected file. Select either “Advanced Editor” or “Expert Editor” to edit file.

In Advanced Editor, you will be able to edit the page by using the What You See is What You Get (WYSIWYG) format, whereas in expert editor, you will have to edit by using the HTML editor.

Using your Weblog as your personal homepage?

Under System Information on the left hand menu bar, click the “change” button. You will find three options available:

  • System Content
  • Personal Web Folder
  • Personal Weblog

By default the first option is chosen. If you wish to use your Personal Weblog as your default personal homepage, then you need to choose the third option and save the setting.
